Weekly Wrap Up : Going Forward

Hey folks, it’s been a while.

In a vain of full transparency I’ll just let you know that things began to dissuade me a bit about the blog game. While I love writing articles and sending you to some of my favorite haunts around the nation, the whole social networking and sharing aspect kind of got me down.  Riding the daily wave of likes and shares and clicks and reads began to take a tole and was never an aspect that I bargained for.  That also combined with the fact that I was eating my way into bigger pants and lighter pockets gave me some pause about the continued food reviews that I know you people love.  No offense to all of you but weekly trips to doughnut shops just don’t bode well with a more health conscious lifestyle I try to live.  That isn’t saying I don’t splurge here and there and bring you some fatty, gooey, meaty, sweet, carbolicious treats here and there, it just isn’t going to be the norm.

With all that said I’ll just lay it out on the table.  American Appetite is going to take a more freestyle approach.  Instead of your daily three, you might get 5 or you might get none, it just depends on what is in the pipeline.  I’ll be throwing more music that might not have a categorical designation more so than it’s been incessantly rattling around my brain.  Food will still be coming fairly consistently, and if you have any places you want me to check out, don’t be shy to leave me a comment and I’ll try my best to check it out.  Same goes with the other posts, you have any topics you want me to tackle, don’t be shy, this works best when you can read about something that interests you.  This was something I started to be fun and hopefully for people to enjoy, so that is what I want to get back to doing.  If you want to stick with us, great, if you can’t be bothered to click a Facebook post, or type a URL into your browser, well then god bless, no hard feelings.  What I can promise is that things are about to get a lot more honest.  So call up Puck, David, Irene, and all the peeps over at MTV because people are going to stop being polite, and start getting real.

Here are some songs that have been getting some hard rotation recently with some sticking lyrics that I can’t shake.

Japandroids : The House That Heaven Built

Lyric : You’re not mine to die for anymore, so I must live

The Front Bottoms : The Plan (Fuck Jobs)

Lyric : When my mind is uncertain, my body decides

PWR BTTM : Dairy Queen

Lyric: We can drink our beer out of a sippy cup, We can go to Disneyworld and fuck shit up.

Radiator Hospital : Our Song
