What if Donald Trump Lost but Told People He Won?

On the eve of the swearing in of the 45th President of The United States of America we take a closer look at the possibility of a Trump defeat not acknowledged.

For a man with debatable hand size he sure has massive twitter fingers.  Through these onslaught of 120 character retorts, President Elect Trump has laid claim to a vast system of corruption within opposing political parties, the media (not just part but all of it), Meryl Streep’s on screen performances, multiple countries, as well as a countless number of corporations that don’t support him.  In his run up to the election he waved the flame of dangerous voter fraud speculation, that even though proven false, caused quite a stir among the electorate.  Whether it was an authentic concern, a political ploy to garner fear, or a devious defense for a decisive defeat, it cajoled a haunting idea in my head.  What if Donald Trump indeed lost but failed to accept it and instead insisted he won.

For months Trump had taken aim at CNN, The Washington Post, and a myriad of other news agencies that he said were spewing incorrect leftist propaganda.  Well who is it we get our coverage from on election night?  There isn’t a public access channel that simply lists the results of ballot results as the counties roll in, we are held hostage to the projections and results on the major news networks.   As anyone who was in school during the 2000 election can tell you they don’t always get those projections right; do you know how hard it is to recolor a state red after it’s been blue!!!!!  With the simple pinpoint accuracy that time allows a distant second to being the first reporting on the news it incentivizes the stations to take risks instead of making accurate projections.  It is this wavering accuracy combined with Trump’s rhetoric and a growing distrust of the media that could had come together in a perfect wave to provide what could had been a history shifting moment.

Let me set the stage for you.  Hillary Clinton is able to carry those rust belt states that didn’t go her way and beyond just the popular vote, gains all the electoral college votes to be elected the 45th President of the United States of America.  For whatever his motivation, most likely a selfish one, Trump does not admit defeat, he does not concede, or send any acknowledgment of a Clinton victory.  Instead he takes to his most prized possession, his twitter account and proceeds to take aim at the political system as a whole.  The corruption that has rigged the election against him.  The mass voter fraud in Nevada (that was false), the Black Lives Matters protesters intimidating voters away from polling stations (also false), or any myriad of excuses that they could muster.  As the outside candidate he is be lampooned by a corrupt system that is hell bent on keeping the status quo and not “draining the swamp”.  He as a proud American and business owner will not stand for these erroneous results and therefore will not accept that he was not the rightful winner.  This conspiracy sent down from the New York media elitists (Trump is from where again?) combined with fat cats making careers lobbying inside the beltway have made it impossible for the honest hard working Americans like himself to get an honest shot in this country.

Based off this vitriolic attack on both the media and political system Trump’s supporters, who are already skeptical at best to both of these, do what?  Do they graciously accept the results and begrudgingly concede their leader was not the dutifully elected one?  Do they say we need to come together as a country in love rather than hate?  Do they try to move on to make America great again with a new leader, even one they didn’t elect?  Well call me a cynic but I believe that would not had been the case at all.  As recent history has shown us, no matter how many times someone might be disproved as being a liar, there is still a large portion of lemmings waiting to follow them right back off the cliff.  But then again what do I know, I voted for Justin Guarini on American Idol.

What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone reading this blog is now dumber for having read it. I award you no likes, and may God have mercy on your soul.
