Throwback Thursday: People Everyday by Arrested Development

Arrested Development: People Everyday

The silky smooth delivery and infectious beats were so cathcy that the deep substance of the lyrics of Arrested Development often got over looked.  Take People Everyday, which I can remember soccer moms and the like blasting and singing along to the chorus.  Thinking that it was a song about unity and togetherness, when in actuality it is the story of differences within the African American society.  I don’t think many white suburban mothers can relate to being rolled up on by some guys drinking 40’s and hitting on their date, but hey maybe I’m wrong since we all are Everday People.
